Bite Me by Shelly Laurenston

Bite Me by Shelly Laurenston

2 Stars

Bite Me by Shelly Laurenston is the 9th book in her Pride series. I have enjoyed the previous books in the series but this one completely failed to hold my attention. It was a struggle for me to finish. I just wasn’t interested or entertained. I think the main issue that I had with Bite Me is that it suffers from multiple personalities. The story jumps around characters frequently throughout the entire book. The story is told from the point of view of over 25 characters, I kid you not! I started counting partway through. This is supposed to be Livy and Vic’s book but it felt more like a story for the entire cast of characters. There was so much dialog and jumping around that it didn’t feel like much progression was made and when something interesting did happen it was glossed over and sped along to a different point of view... Additionally. many of the characters annoyed me and much of what happened or was said bored me. I can’t say that I liked the book but I didn’t hate it either. I ended up giving it 2 stars because there were a couple nice moments. I enjoyed the part that takes place at Vic’s house and the part when he and Livy are in Honeyville. Sadly, that’s about it. I liked Vic and Livy together and would have liked to have had more page time with them. This just wasn’t a book that I could enjoy but other readers may like it.
